Imagine for a moment a place where you could go on a weekend to play beach volleyball all day, literally until you drop, while meeting hundreds of new people of all ages and from all over the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania areas spread out over 50+ courts…  This place does exist…

GREAT AMERICAN VOLLEYBALL TOUR

The Great American Volleyball Tour was created by a fellow volleyball player, and WW-P supporter, Wayne Gant, to fill a need for a player friendly tournament experience for beach volleyball players from Novice to Professional.  The Great American Volleyball season starts the first weekend in May and goes until the last weekend in September.  It is not uncommon for players to play every weekend, sometimes on both Saturday AND Sunday!! Do note that for adult tournaments Saturdays are the men or women doubles days while Sundays are usually reserved for Co-Ed and 4 on 4. The complete schedule for GAV is continuously updated with new locations, here are some common spots:

• Point Pleasant Beach:  A player favorite, with convenient access to the boardwalk for food and drinks.
• Atlantic City:  More of an adult player favorite, with many players making a weekend of it, spending their earnings in the casino’s and restaurants after the tournament concludes.
• Seaside Heights:  A fun place to play, with a lot of spectators onhand and the onsite boardwalk, making post volleyball dining very enjoyable!
